Unique Student Identifier
USI Number

From 1st January 2015, any student who undertakes an accredited training course in Australia must create a Unique Student Identifier (USI). This is a reference number made up of letters and numbers linked to the National Vocational Education and Training (VET) Data Collection.

This reference number creates access for students to see their training results from all providers including all completed units and qualifications.

If you are a new or continuing student undertaking nationally recognised training, you need a USI in order to receive your qualification or statement of attainment. If you don’t have a USI you will not receive your qualification or statement of attainment.

This USI will stay with the student for life and be updated with any nationally recognised VET course that is completed from the 1st January 2015 onwards.

If you do not already have a USI prior to commencing your studies at Astute Training Pty Ltd our staff will assist you with the process of setting up your own USI account during your induction. There is no cost for creating a USI.
